History of the Show
The origins of this podcast can be found dating back to October of 2010. Perhaps a bit later than that, as the first show wasn't posted until March of 2011 due to technical difficulties.
The shows' hosts at the time, Dave Dawson and Rob Dalton (The Dalton & Dave Show) were new to the podcast world, and had no idea what the next few years would entail. They babbled on about football and hockey, mostly whatever came to their minds.
In July of that same year, they brought in Matt Ryan, and in turn changed the name to "The Swagger and Stagger Show", obviously playing off the rivalry between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. A bit of CFL, a bit of NHL chatter.
After the Grey Cup of that year, the show went on a bit of a sabbatical......until July of 2013. At that time, Matt was given his release as part of restructuring. We found a niche, and streamlined to cover football, and solely the Canadian Football League. But the show was missing something. Then the contract signing that changed it all. Tony Allen joined that summer, and since then we never looked back.
The Swagger and Stagger Show has welcomed guests such as CFL on TSN Play by Play Voice, Chris Cuthbert, and CFL Hall of Famer, Milt Stegall.
